You don't have to follow the month to month planning found in the magazines and planners. If you want to book a dj, florist and so forth a year, year and a half in advance, you avoid the "sorry, we're already booked for that day" syndrome! Especially since alot of these vendors are one or two person shows. Book well in advance, get your deposits out of the way, and avoid the hassles.
